On April 19, 2008, we took our second cruise. I'm going to skip the narrative and story for the moment and go straight to the pictures. The links below will take you to the pictures arranged by date.
April 19, 2008 - Leaving from San Diego-First night at Sea - I might have the dates wrong but I thought the formal night was the second night at sea. Partied first night as usual. Our room was incredible as we got an upgrade when we arrived.
April 20, 2008 - Second Day at Sea and First Formal Night - Suited up in tuxedos and beautiful dresses (I wore the tux) and danced and partied till the wee hours of the morning.
April 21, 2008 - Cabo San Lucas - The most beautiful stop on the cruise. Visit Lovers Beach and Divorce Beach if you can. It's spectaular. The Pacific on one side crashing waves on the beach (dangerous) and the gulf on the other. Go early. It gets crowded for such a small place. You have to take a water taxi out and back. Don't count on the same one taking you out for picking you up. They'll tell you anything and not show up. Be aware and use caution getting on and off of the beach. You can get hurt somewhat easily depending on your taxi driver and helpers. When you see the pictures, you'll know why. The scenery was gorgeous. The food was great. Nice shops as usual.
April 22, 2008 - Mazatlan- A pretty city, fairly large, pretty beaches (we didn't do the beaches though. but you better know what you want to do before you get there. We took the bus tour into Mexico away from the city. It was true Mexican town. Made tiles, ate at the bakery and toured around. Check out the pictures.
April 23, 2008 - Puerto Vallarta - Well, we are not the elite so we didn't go yachting or hob-knob with the rich and famous. Again, know what you want to do before you get there. We wasted half a day getting every one to agree on crashing a resort hotel for lunch and using their beach. Time could have been better spent. There are jungles, marshes and all sorts of touristy things to do, but you have to plan ahead. Visit the Wal-Mart. Great prices but it's good to have a translator. It's located right across from the ship dock.
April 24, 2008 - Night and following day at sea. Party time.
April 25, 2008 - Second Formal Night and following day at sea. Party time.
April 26, 2008 - Arrive back in San Diego early in the morning.
